in the Gulbenkian

'grease tray' was a cantine food tray filled with car grease that had been smoothed over. It stood around the corner from a bench partly mimicing the bench gesture. With no label to say it was 'art' there was nothing to stop people touching it. Each morning I would smooth over the surface and every afternoon I would return to view the interruptions.
